Orange-THE Blazing Color of Fall came crashing into my home this week- almost October, time to bring the gold of autumn inside.
Orange came smashing through the muted blues, grays, yellows and white of my rooms. It came by way of this cake platter I saw and fell in love with, knew I had to have and ultimately ordered from anthropologie.com.
In order to bring it all together in my dining room, I pulled out two white pumpkins from last year, picked up a few tiny new ones.
The table cover is actually a Tibetan throw from Celedon.com a fabulous source for all things cool and unusual in Mt. Pleasant, S.C.
Sideboard-wise and continuing the cake stand theme, the huge mums are from last year, purchased at AceHardware, a locally owed with a totally unique home and gift department. The white and silver runner is from anthropologie.com. The wonderful silver platter is a family heirloom.
All in all, Orange is here and seems to be doing well. Crashing and smashing into my room with its Blazing Color of Fall.
Mums and pumpkins, purples and reds, indigo hues of Tibetan seams long ago stitched: sparkling twines interwoven against polished silver, reflecting all of golden Autumn.
