Wind

Wind on the lake.

Thrashing and Blowing

Sounding and Swishing

Sounding turtles and gators

Thrashing the young Cypress Shooters

Washing, drowning ancient knee Stumps

Wind on the Lake

Greenheads blown from their nesting

Homing wide-winged Herons hide

Ugly arched-backed Vultures hang and sway

 Upon hollow-holed timbers

The Redhead peckers have long fled.

Wind on the Lake

Boats down-tuned for life sake

Floating dock knocks, bangs

Waves! Nearly white capping

Leaves, clapping, snapping

Potted Dogwood leans low

Wind, Sound, Rustling, Blow
